Our school is a mixed school for both boys and girls, established in 2018. It aims to teach the Arabic language to both Arab and non-Arab students, in addition to Islamic Studies and the Holy Qur’an. The school welcomes students from the age of four (Foundation level) up to 16 years old, preparing them for the GCSE examination.
The school offers eight educational stages: Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Pre-GCSE, and GCSE. Face-to-face classes are delivered every Saturday at the university of Essex in Colchester.
Online classes are also available for students living outside Colchester for Year 2, Year 3, Pre-GCSE, and GCSE, and are delivered every Sunday via Zoom.
All teachers are of Arab origin from different Arab countries, providing a rich and diverse cultural and linguistic learning environment.
Our mission is to strengthen the Arabic language in the hearts and minds of our students, reinforce their religious and cultural identity, and enhance their sense of belonging to their faith and heritage. This is achieved through teaching Arabic language skills, Islamic literature, Hadith, Seerah (Prophetic biography), Qur’anic interpretation for each level, and memorisation of Juz’ Amma and selected Surahs from Juz’ Tabarak.
In addition, the school organises competitions, workshops, and seasonal activities related to Islamic and Arab occasions such as Ramadan, Eid, and World Arabic Language Day.
Our targeted community includes children aged 4 to 16 years from different nationalities, with a strong focus on academic preparation, cultural identity, and GCSE readiness.
One of the school’s key academic achievements is the excellent performance of its students in the GCSE Arabic examination. To date, 20 graduates have achieved Grade 9, and 3 students have achieved Grade 7, reflecting the high quality of teaching, the effectiveness of the curriculum, and the strong academic preparation provided by the school.
